The assignment
What we are here to do
America is changing fast — the values, the identity, the power structures, the things we used to agree on. We track those shifts without pretending they are simple, and without asking you to pick a side before you finish reading.
We follow the culture — music, media, money, memory, and the moments that reveal who we actually are. We connect the dots between what happens in the news and what it means in real life. If a story needs context, we bring the receipts.

Our point of view
We believe the American cultural landscape is shifting under everyone's feet — and that most coverage either ignores it or turns it into a culture war prop. We are here for the analysis that sits with the discomfort, names what is actually happening, and asks the obvious follow-up. Skepticism is not cynicism (except Rizz, he's cynical AF). It is paying attention.
